Anakku ! Sudah Tepatkah Pendidikannya ?
Anak merupakan karunia sekaligus ujian bagi manusia. Dalam persepsi Islam, anak merupakan amanat yang menjadi tanggung jawab orang tuanya. Ketika pertama kali dilahirkan ke dunia, seorang anak dalam keadaan fitnah dan berhati suci lagi bersih, ibarat kertas putih bersih yang siap untuk dituliskan apapun di atasnya. Kedua orangtuanyalah yang memegang peranan penting pada perkembangan berikutnya, apakah keduanya akan mempertahankan fitrah dan kesucian hatinya, ataukah malah merusak dan mengotorinya.
Pendidikan terhadap anak merupakan bagian tepenting dalam kehidupan berumah tangga. Sebab salah satu tujuan utama pernikahan adalah lahirnya keturunan yang nantinya akan menjadi generasi penerus. Namun ironinya dalam pandangan kebanyakan orangtua di masyarakat kita, pendidikan yang layak dan baik adalah dengan menyekolahkan anak di sekolah favorit. Dengan demikian anak tersebut akan dapat berprestasi, hingga nantinya memiliki masa depan yang “sukses dan mapan.” Tidak peduli apakah sekolah tersebut mengajarkan nilai-nilai Islam ataukah tidak.
Ukuran kesuksesan dalam pandangan mereka adalah ketika seseorang sukses secara materi, atau sukses meraih kedudukan tinggi. Mereka akan sangat bangga dan merasa berhasil mendidik dan membesarkan anak-anak mereka, manakala anak-anak tersebut sukses menduduki suatu jabatan tinggi atau berprofesi dengan profesi bergengsi. Tidak peduli apakah anak-anak mereka mengerti dan mematuhi tuntunan agamanya, ataukah malah jauh dari itu semua dan tidak mempedulikannya. Apalah artinya kesuksesan dalam kehidupan dunia yang singkat ini, jika ditempuh dengan cara yang berakibat pada kesengsaraan tiada akhir di Akhirat.
Kesuksesan hakiki adalah ketika seseorang pertama kali menampakkan kakinya di Surga. Karenanya, sudah menjadi kewajiban dan tanggung jawab orangtua untuk memberikan perhatian lebih pada pendidikan agama anak-anaknya, melebihi perhatiannya terhadap hal lain. Sungguh sangat mengherankan sikap sebagian orangtua, yang bersedih dan menangis ketika tubuh anaknya sakit atau mati. Padahal mereka mengklaim sangat mencintai dan menyayangi anak-anak tersebut. Maka, apakah tindakan membiarkan hati dan jiwa menjadi sakit, bahkan mati, hingga membuat anak terjerumus ke dalam kesengsaraan, dapat dikatakan sebagai ungkapan cinta dan kasih sayang?!

But can anyone give me the reason the jury was excused from hearing the Cantrell’s testimony. I can’t figure it out. There must have been a reason. Is it because the Cantrells are not on trial here. I am going to call a lawyer I know tomorrow and find out if he can explain it to me. .My concern is that when Jamie gets his new trial, that his jury wont be able to hear their testimony either. In my mind that is very damaging testimony, at least for the state. I don’t want to sound childish here but it’s just not fair. I know it’s not the kids fault. They are just children under control by the terrible people. Max: I agree, Mr Cassel did a great job of proving reasonable doubt. the news said that he has already filed for Dennis’ appeal but has withdrawn as his attorney. Not sure if that’s because Dennis cant afford another trial and will have to go with a court appointed attorney oor what. I also believe the kids should be taken out of that home. As long as they are living under that roof, justice will not be seen in these cases. I feel for the kids, I really do. Did I tell you that I met Shauntels children? They were very roudy kids. Shauntel used to yell and scream at them constantly. She would make Jamie spank them when they were bad. I neve liked Shauntel. She is not playing with a full deck. She was very controlling over Jamie and would not even let him talk to me. Even Jamie’s mother stated when she first met Shauntel and her kids, that they were going to get Jamie into a lot of trouble. Who knew it would be this bad. .Im trying like hell to keep a positive attitude. It’s very hard to tell Jamie this kind of news while he’s in there. He’s having a very hard time where he is at. .I will try to get a hold of that attorney I was talking about and see what he has to say, I’ll let you guys know. Thank you

I have nothing but contempt for people such as Michael Moore. Despite disparaging western civilization and capitalism, he enjoys all the benefits of living in a western and capitalistic society. Besides, I have always been suspicious of wealthy people such as Moore who are always crusading on behalf of poor people. I cannot help but think that he is simply another America-hating hustler who is enjoying the wealth generated by his biased (though still interesting) films. He criticizes this nation for its excessive consumerism despite consuming a ton himself, if you know what I mean! Granted, his excessive size bears little weight (no pun intended) to his actual beliefs and opinions. He should know, however, that his criticisms of the United States do nothing more than embolden our enemies. They don’t correct injustices or other problems that plague this nation.

Don’t worry about the future. I just moved to Milwaukee and it’s a great place. It’s not one of those metropolitan cities but it’s pretty quiet. I lived in Orange Co. California and this is much more better. But everyone has different opinions.
