Boleh jadi seseorang rajin dalam beribadah kepada Allah ‘Azza wa jalla. Namun tidak jarang dalam melakukan ibadah tersebut tidak lebih hanya sekedar rutinitas, tradisi, ikut-ikutan, keterpaksaan, ataupun sebab lainnya. Begitu dia memulai shalatnya dengan takbiratul ihram, hatinya langsung melayang dan pikirannya menerawang jauh entah kemana. Mata melirik ke kanan kiri dan tangan melakukan banyak gerakan yang tidak perlu. Begitu pula halnya pada saat membaca ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an maupun dzikir-dzikir, semuanya hanya sekedar terucap di lisan dan lewat begitu saja tanpa diikuti dengan renungan mendalam terhadap makna-makna yang terkandung di dalamnya.
Ibadah yang kita lakukan kepada Allah –dalam arti yang seluas-luasnya-, mengharuskan adanya khusyu’ dalam pelaksaannya. Karena tanpanya ibadah akan terasa hambar dan mustahil kenikmatan akan kita temukan di dalamnya. Dan dengan demikian sangat kecil peluang diterimanya ibadah tersebut di sisi Allah ‘Azza wa jalla. Karenanya, pastikan ibadah anda terbalut rapi dengan kekhusyu’an agar anda temukan kenikmatan di dalamnya dan mempunyai nilai di sisi Allah ‘Azza wa jalla.
