Menuntut ilmu agama merupakan suatu keharusan bagi setiap muslim. Sebab bagaimana mungkin seseorang dapat melaksanakan kewajiban agamanya jika tidak dilandasi dengan pengetahuan tentangnya. Berakidah benar, shalat dan puasa tidak dapat dilakukannya sesuai kehendak Allah ‘Azza wa jalla jika tidak dia pelajari tata caranya. Seorang yang telah mampu untuk melaksanakan ibadah haji harus mempelajari manasik haji sebelum melakukannya, agar hajinya benar. Seorang hartawan harus mempelajari hukum zakat agar dia tidak salah di dalam mengeluarkan zakat harta maupun perniagaannya.
Mempelajari ilmu agama secara rinci, yang melebihi kebutuhan pribadi seseorang di atas, memang bukan kewajiban setiap muslim. Namun demikian orang yang melakukannya mendapatkan keistimewaan yang luar biasa di sisi Allah ‘Azza wa jalla. Berbagai pujian dan janji balasan istimewa di dunia dan akherat Allah berikan kepada orang-orang yang berilmu (ulama) dan para penuntut ilmu. Karena kerelaan mereka meluangkan waktu untuk kepentingan agama dan kaum muslimin di saat orang lain sibuk dengan urusan duniawi dan pribadi mereka. Juga karena melalui perjuangan keras mereka agama ini terjaga dari berbagai penyimpangan. Mereka ibarat pelita yang terang di tengah gelap gulita dan oase di tengah padang tandus.
Karenanya, menuntut ilmu merupakan bagian dari jihad ( berjuang di jalan Allah). Dan orang yang melakukannya oleh Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam di sebut sebagai pewaris para nabi.
Seseorang yang menginginkan kesuksesan di dalam menuntut ilmu agama tidak dapat melakukannya begitu saja, namun harus mengikuti petunjuk dan bimbingan yang dianjurkan para ulama. Jika anda telah mengambil keputusan untuk menuntut ilmu agama, maka pastikan untuk membaca dan menelaah buku yang sarat dengan petunjuk dan bimbingan berharga ini agar upaya anda mendapatkan kesuksesan dan ridha ilahi.

The moer I think about this the more amazed I am that this didnt cause me to react more negatively.. I’m trying to think of other industries where this would be accepted. If my Dad as a design engineer had been working on the side for other clients or his own projects he’d have been fired. There are so many reasons this isnt on it beggars belief that there are so many positive responses and that agency owners are even accepting this. Imagine one of your staff took on one of your clients competitors in their moonlighting role!? can u imagine the fall out if your agency client found out.. This isnt acceptable on any level as far as i am concerned, rather than trying to earn cash outside of work with your bottom lip out cos your boss doesnt pay you enough, you should be looking for ways to add value to your agency, make yourself indespensible and create opportunities to further your career. The world doesnt owe any of us a living my advice would be to not crap on your own doorstep.
