Shalat Mengapa Mesti Berjama’ah ?
Salah satu cara untuk mengukur kualitas keislaman seseorang atau suatu masyarakat adalah dengan mengetahui sejauh mana kepedulian mereka terhadap shalat lima waktu berjama’ah di masjid. Begitu istimewa dan besar keutamaan shalat berjama’ah di masjid, hingga tidak seorangpun dari kaum pria di masa Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam yang meninggalkannya, kecuali orang-orang munafik yang telah jelas kemunafikannya. Ketika seorang lelaki buta minta keringanan kepada Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam agar diizinkan shalat di rumah, karena mendatangi masjid lima kali sehari berat baginya, mengingat kondisi fisiknya, beliau tetap tidak mengizinkannya. Bahkan ketika Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam sakit parah dan berujung pada wafatnya beliau, beliau tetap shalat berjama’ah di masjid.
Merupakan hal yang patut kita syukuri dan sangat menggembirakan hati, saat ini banyak sekali masjid di lingkungan kita dan dengan begitu mudah dapat kita temukan. Bahkan tidak sedikit yang dibangun dengan begitu megah. Apabila tiba waktu shalat terdengar suara adzan berkumandang saling bersautan, menyeru kaum muslimin untuk shalat berjama’ah. Namun adakah yang menyambut seruan mulia itu? Nyatanya apabila kita datangi masjid-masjid tersebut kondisinya sangat memprihatinkan, hanya segelintir orang yang peduli terhadap seruan tersebut. Kebanyakan kaum muslimin lebih memilih shalat seorang diri di rumah dan cukup puas dengan pahala satu derajat yang didapatnya. Sementara peluang pahala dua puluh tujuh derajat dan berbagai pahala serta segudang manfaat lain yang Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla sediakan pada shalat berjama’ah mereka lewatkan dan sia-siakan begitu saja.

Okay, so I unistalled the driver in device manager (even though the driver was the correct one) and let windows uninstall the driver software. Then I restarted and stopped vista from installing whatever driver it could find. Then I installed the newest driver from ati as administrator. Now everything works fine. I’m not connected to the internet on this computer I’m talking about though. I’ve disabled automatic updates so we’ll see how long this lasts.

It is never better to lose than to win. If the question is whether a political party will win or not it can only be in the sense of how it will effect the party. However, if we are looking for a determination on the effect on Americans then the answer should view the short term, long term results. Short term, putting the Republicans in power will change nothing. The Republicans only care about winning and maintaining power and control for Wall Street. Why would they be concerned about the public’s view of their part in governance – they never have before. They will continue to block any progressive, sensible actions that would provide growth for the middle class other then what big business wants for their own gain. Long term, the Republican Party in control of anything will stiffle any chance of enacting changes in Labor Law, which would provide for the growth of Unions and therefore, workers having a say in the workplace and the country. Long term, Republicans will use a leadership position as a soap box to support more right-wing crazies, with the hearings that they would fill with presenters from the extreme and paid-for groups like the “Heritage Foundation”, the “National (no) Right(s at) to Work Foundation” and a host of other big business funded groups. The Republican Party isn’t interested in average Americans. We only need to look at the Trade Laws, Political Contributions System in our elections, Opposition to Social Security, Medicare and threatened repeal of national healthcare to know what they stand for -Profits at the expense of everyone else! Let’s work hard to get sensible, balanced and progressive politicians elected. Don’t give an inch!

I think the message and context in which the message is sent has a lot to do with whether a campaign is received positively or not. For example, I received a message when at a bus stop in Philly from Pepsi giving free music downloads. The responses of people around me where all very positive. I think this has a lot to do with the context of waiting and traveling and Pepsi offering free entertainment. (the company that Pepsi worked with is a Proximity Marketing company called Qwikker Mobile Marketing)
